Hands, Habits & the Nervous System – One Reflex at a Time

    

Explore the hand-to-mouth reflexes and its connection to self-soothing habits.


This series is for you if:


  • You use your hands to cope – scrolling, snacking, smoking, picking, biting, or always holding something.
     
  • You feel anxious, wired, or restless, and your hands never really switch off.
     
  • You’re curious about the nervous system and want body-based ways to calm down, not just mindset hacks.
     
  • You’ve noticed patterns that feel a bit like addiction (sugar, phone, vaping, food, overworking) and you know they’re about more than “willpower.”

By the end of this class, you’ll:


  • Know how your fingers are wired to help you.
     
  • Be able to spot your own hand patterns: clenching, fidgeting, picking, or zoning out.
     
  • Do a quick self-check to see if your fingers are more “hyper” (always on) or “numb” (checked out).
     
  • Learn 2–3 finger - friendly drills to use anywhere.
     
  • Walk away with “instead of this / try this” swaps for scrolling, snacking, and nail-biting.

👉simple, body-based exercises you can use to calm your system using your own hands.

Learn three simple hand drills to calm your body without needing food, screens, or another “fix.”
 

Get “Instead of this → try this” swaps you can use in real moments:
 

before you open an app,
 

before you open the cupboard,
 

or when your hands start attacking your nails or skin.
