At The MyShelle Method, we believe the face tells a story—not just through expression, but through deeply embedded reflex patterns from early development. Facial Reflex Integration is a gentle, somatic approach to rewiring the stress responses held in the muscles, nerves, and reflexes of the face, mouth, jaw, and head.

These facial reflexes are part of your body's original wiring for survival: feeding, bonding, expressing emotion, feeling safe. But when left unintegrated, they can quietly keep the nervous system stuck in defense mode—even into adulthood.

What Is Facial Reflex Integration?

 This specialized therapy supports the release and integration of primitive reflexes connected to your face and cranial nerves. Through hands-on touch, rhythmic techniques, and subtle sensory input, we invite your nervous system out of “fight, flight, or freeze” and into safety, softness, and self-awareness.


Facial Reflex Integration may include gentle work around:


  • Jaw, lips, and tongue for oral tension and speech support
     
  • Cheeks, brow, and scalp to release stored stress or expression blocks
